From Bernard: “first Dairyland race in the books. Who knew there were climbs like this in WI??? Pro/1/2 men shredded early and came home in tatters!! Bunch of punctures due mostly to construction on road surface. Sweet SRAM NRS show here, me, Jose, Ben R, Chris K and Mark Z!”

Tulsa Tough, May 29-31
“Jose is definitely the man. He’s so laid back and professional. He took care of me right after the crash, calmed me down and assured me that my bike would be ready to ride, then moved on to the next 20 girls that needed help. The next day he hooked me up with a new shifter to replace the one I broke. Without Jose, there’s no way I could have won those two races in Tulsa. Thanks Jose.”
Comments from Shelly Olds…Team Pro Man upon winning the two of the three stages at Tulsa Tough last weekend. Nice Job Jose!
Spring Bear Mountain Road Race May 10th Bear Mountain, NY
Very cool presence of tech support services, SRAM (Butch, Kenny, Bernard), Mavic (Todd Downs) with independents; Mark Wysoki and Mark Purdy (apologies if I missed anyone) all at the same event supporting every category of racing (except possibly the juniors?) but a great effort by promoter Alan Atwood and his staff!
Course is challenging and brutal (from what I saw during the Master’s 45+ and Men’s Pro/1/2) I can see what draws so many racers to this event year after year. Weather: Rain loomed on the horizon throughout the day but never materialized, the wind however, made it’s mark on all the fields, especially during those sections by the lakes where the open area created Belgian/Dutch-like conditions sometimes surprising the riders with it’s ferocity. The day ended mostly in sunshine highlighting a great event.
